We're opening to guests from Thursday 6 April

Thank you to our guests who have been so understanding and supportive following the devastating effects of Cyclone Gabrielle across Hawke’s Bay.

We have been so proud seeing our community pull together as well as others from outside the region offering help.  Our team has been heavily involved supporting displaced families as well as emergency response personnel over the last month which has meant that Kennedy Park Resort was not able to accept guests.

We are pleased to advise, that while there is still some work to go for certain communities in Hawke’s Bay, Napier is now in the recovery phase and Kennedy Park Resort will be open for all our existing bookings from Thursday 6 April - just in time for Easter and the school holidays. Our resort will be humming with guests, and local businesses are looking forward to seeing you as are so many of our popular tourist attractions.

There is a huge amount of work being done by Waka Kotahi to repair roads, restore access and reconnect communities.  One of the key routes is SH5 from Taupo to Napier. Waka Kotahi have recently advised that it will re-open this road to all traffic from next Monday 20 March.  However, there will be speed restrictions in place and for your safety the road will close at night from 7pm to 7am.  There may also be some planned daytime road closures as part of their renewal programme so it is important for our guests to follow Waka Kotahi social media channels as well as their website which will have the most up-to-date information.
